Kirstin Elaine Martin

Founder, Globond Financial • International Trade Representative • Host, TBOAW

Kirstin Elaine Martin is the founder and President of Globond Financial LLC, a financial strategy and wealth protection firm focused on long-term stability, intelligent growth, and real-world financial resilience.

Her career began internationally. After college, she was invited by the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs to work for the Government of Yamanashi Prefecture, and later worked in Tokyo with Sumitomo Life Insurance. She went on to live and work in Mexico and Brazil, building a strong career in international sales, marketing, and emerging markets — serving startups and high-tech companies as Head of International Sales & Marketing.

She later built her own boutique firm providing business development, PR, marketing, fundraising, and strategic growth services, and served as a judge for multiple Boston-based startup competitions, advising founders, executives, and high-net-worth individuals across industries.

During COVID, two major clients failed to pay $75,000 in contracted fees — a turning point that forced a hard realization: despite strong credentials and a career spent helping others become thought leaders and multi-million dollar earners, her own income was unstable and exposed. She obtained her life insurance license out of necessity — and it changed everything.

Over the past five years, she has built a financial practice centered on structure, not product sales: protection, liquidity, tax efficiency, long-term growth, and intergenerational planning. Today, she helps professionals and business owners move from income dependency to wealth stability — not just earning money, but protecting it, growing it, and preserving it across generations.

Kirstin holds a B.S. in Political Science from the University of Kansas and an MBA from Simmons College in Boston. She speaks five languages and is a licensed life insurance and annuity agent in 25 states and counting. She lives in Gloucester, Massachusetts — America's oldest working seaport — with her two rescue dogs, Hunter and Maggie. She is a new grandmother and a recent widow.

Flavia Ryan's story begins on a large farm in Minas Gerais, Brazil — about 40 minutes from the nearest town — where she was raised surrounded by a big, loving extended family. Homeschooled by her mother, she learned to cook like a chef and sew like a master seamstress. But even then, Flavia had a vision for something bigger.

She made the courageous decision that so many immigrants will recognize: she left everything familiar behind, including her young son in the care of her parents, and came to the United States in search of opportunity. She arrived without speaking English — and built her life from the ground up.

Twenty-one years later, Flavia is a thriving entrepreneur. She owns a successful cleaning and event logistics company, as well as Grover Tree, a beautiful spa salon in Gloucester. She is also a gifted visual artist — currently competing in an international People's Choice Arts Competition — and serves on the Gloucester Commission on the Arts, appointed by former Mayor Greg Verga.

Her story is not just about success — it's about family, resilience, and love. Her sister and brother are now here in Massachusetts, her sons Wollof and Josh are by her side, and she shares her life with her husband Peter and their blended family. Flavia and Peter also experienced the profound love and loss of their triplets — Gabriel and his siblings — who, though with them for only a short time, left a lasting imprint that continues to shape how Flavia lives and leads today.

Flavia co-hosts The Best of All Worlds / O Melhor de Todos os Mundos, building bridges between American-born and immigrant communities through culture, business, and friendship. She represents the very best of what becomes possible when courage meets opportunity.

Courage is not the absence of fear — it is leaving everything you know behind and building something beautiful anyway.
